Sep 12, 2019
We have a long and proud history of providing support for military members and their families; we are empathetic and respectful of veterans’ experiences. Many of our employees in key positions have served in the military, National Guard and Reserve.

HARRISBURG (Sept. 12, 2019) – A leading veterans organization has named United Concordia Dental to its 2020 Military Friendly® Employers List, which recognizes companies for hiring military veterans and their spouses, including members of the National Guard and Reserve.

VIQTORY, which has published the Military Friendly Employers List since 2003, analyzed public and government data sources and surveyed more than 8,800 employers nationwide to compile the 2020 list. The full 2020 list is at www.militaryfriendly.com

“We are honored to be recognized as one of just 290 companies on the Military Friendly Employers List,” says United Concordia President and Chief Executive Officer Tim Constantine. “We have a long and proud history of providing support for military members and their families; we are empathetic and respectful of veterans’ experiences. Many of our employees in key positions have served in the military, National Guard and Reserve.”

For more than two decades, the company has helped military members and their families receive the high-quality dental care they need. United Concordia administers dental benefits for more than 1.8 million uniformed service active duty family members and National Guard and Reserve members and their families who participate in the TRICARE Dental Program. It also serves 1.6 million eligible active duty service members through its administration of the Active Duty Dental Program.

The company’s commitment to the military population includes support for targeted outreach programs and nonprofit organizations that assist them. These organizations include the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS); the Paralyzed Veterans of America; the Fisher House Foundation; the National Military Family Association; and many more.

Companies who seek the Military Friendly designation are rated based on: hiring and onboarding; opportunity and advancement; culture and commitment; support and retention; policies and compliance; and recruiting and sourcing, as they apply to employees with military backgrounds.
