CAMP HILL, Pa. (March 15, 2023) – Chante Miller has joined United Concordia Dental, a national dental solutions partner, as a dental integration consultant, where she will focus on building greater dentist-physician collaboration to achieve improved patient health outcomes.
“This is a first-of-its-kind role at United Concordia, and Chante’s experience as a health care clinical administrator and registered dental hygienist are well-suited to lead our medical-dental integration (MDI) efforts,” said Roosevelt Allen, DDS, MAGD, ABGD, chief dental officer, United Concordia Dental. “Her knowledge and expertise will be instrumental in helping us deliver more comprehensive care plans aimed at improving total health outcomes for those we serve.”
One of the ways United Concordia has been driving the integration of dental into all aspects of patient care is by investing in technology, like electronic health records, that enables the sharing of medical and oral health information between patient clinicians. The company is also piloting a program to educate nurses and other clinical staff on the oral-systemic link and collaborating with leading academic and research institutions to learn more about how dental health is related to overall health.
“As ongoing research emphasizes the mouth-body connection, it is evident that an integrated approach is needed to help close gaps in care, deliver better outcomes and simplify health experiences for our members. We’re excited to have someone of Chante’s caliber on our team to help us advance these goals,” said Allen.
Most recently, Miller served as a dental program manager for Suncoast Community Health Centers, Inc., where she played a key role in creating the Federally Qualified Community Health Center’s telehealth and MDI program, and coordinated population-based and community care.
Miller holds a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Administration and Management from Florida International University, a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Florida and an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene from St. Petersburg College.
