CAMP HILL, Pa. (May 31, 2023) – Approximately 2,000 underserved children and adults will receive free care at the MOM-n-PA dental clinic from June 2-3, 2023, at the Allentown Fairgrounds Agri-Plex. United Concordia Dental and the Highmark Foundation are major sponsors of the event.
MOM-n-PA brings together hundreds of volunteers to provide free dental exams, cleanings, fillings, root canals and other dental care to individuals and families in need. Services are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and registration is not required.
“Free dental clinics like MOM-n-PA provide a crucial public health service for people who cannot afford or face other barriers to accessing dental care,” said Roosevelt Allen, DDS, MAGD, ABGD, chief dental officer, United Concordia Dental. “We greatly value our longstanding relationship with MOM-n-PA and are proud to support the outstanding work they are doing to address oral health disparities so that everyone has an opportunity to be their healthiest.”
United Concordia and Highmark have partnered with MOM-n-PA on this event for the past 10 years. The companies’ team members also contribute to the mission by volunteering their time and skills to assist with administrative and logistical duties at the two-day clinic.
“We are pleased to be a sponsor of this dental clinic event,” said Yvonne Cook, president of the Highmark Foundation. “We know that oral health is a big part of overall physical and mental health, so this event fits perfectly with our mission of improving the health, well-being and quality of life for individuals who reside in communities like the Lehigh Valley.”
Since 2013, MOM-n-PA has provided over $7 million in free dental care to more than 12,000 patients through the generosity of 7,000-plus volunteers.
